For advocates

What a page contains

Every field has an owner and a check. The first table for each kind of page is what the form asks for before the page goes live. The second is what can be added afterwards, from the page.

Identity and addresses

  • Every advocate has a stable id such as a_004471 and an address such as /en/advocates/asma-qureshi-lahore/. The address can change; the id cannot. Old addresses redirect.
  • An advocate belongs to at most one firm at a time. Leaving a firm keeps the advocate page and its address; only the firm box disappears.
  • A firm page is the sum of its advocates plus its own fields. Counts and courts are never typed in.
  • Everything an advocate or firm types is stored with the date and shown with its source. Everything Wakeel verifies is stored with the date, the source record and who checked it.
  • Every change is written to a log: who, what, when, from which account. Wakeel staff changes are logged the same way.
