A dishonoured cheque can be pursued as a criminal complaint, as a civil recovery, or both. The first month decides which doors stay open.

Keep the paper

The cheque itself and the bank’s return memo. Photos are not enough later.

Send a notice

A written demand within the time the law allows. Your advocate drafts and sends it from Pakistan.
